Here, we would like
to offer information about our sales procedures.
Recently, there
have been reports around the UK of renewable energy installers
employing sales tactics that, at best, could be described as dubious!
These sales techniques are nothing new and have been around in
many industries for years, however as the renewables market is
still in its infancy, these companies quickly become known and
the result of their exposure is a negative impact on the rest
of the industry.
We like to point
out to prospective clients that we strongly disassociate ourselves
with these types of sales tactics and business management.
Firstly, we do not
employ salespeople, we believe that to sell an installation, the
salesperson must fully understand both the individual products
and the system as a whole. Therefore, we will only employ technical
sales staff who can and do install the systems we offer.
To offer the best
for our customers, we must offer services that suit the customer
and their property, we don't offer a packaged solution that has
to suit everyone.
Therefore we will not offer firm quotations on our initial survey
visit, we may be able to give indicative costs, but we will always
follow up a survey with a written quotation.
This has a number
of benefits, firstly if you are not presented with a cost at the
time of a survey, you will feel no pressure to go ahead with any
work, secondly, if we go away and design a system to suit you,
we can be more accurate with our costs and therefore save you
money, if we attempted to offer a firm quotation on the spot,
the only way we could guarantee that the work would be profitable
would be to inflate the quotation to cover all eventualities,
where as if we go away and plan the system carefully, this risk
is removed and our quotation can then be more accurate.
Lastly, you will
have a written quotation that you can study and decide upon in
your own time, we will not be sat in front of you waiting for
your answer! you can discuss the quotation with your family and
friends then make a decision based on your information.
The only way that
we can continue to grow using these techniques is by living up
to our expectations, we are happily confident in our abilities
and our customer service and we know that our customers will be
pleased with our work.
A final note about
our sales techniques...
We do not employ
a marketing team and spend thousands on expensive advertising
campaigns, we grow primarily from referrals, with our advertising
kept to very basic methods.
